brushed motor
The manufacturing of our motors is a synthesis of computer controlled technology and the manual labour of our trusted co-workers. Many of the high-grade materials used in our motors are made with special tools and machines manufactured by us. This applies especially to the sheet metals used for the stators and rotors. The losses in performance are kept to a minimum due to the specially developed cutting tool and the superb quality of the materials together with high quality of the magnets. This is the basis for the motors total performance. The armature are entirely hand wound allowing a high-density factor and precise positioning of the individual windings. The windings are then soldered to the commutator and all the gaps filled with a special epoxy resin, the result is an optimum resistance to high revolutions. To further enhance balance, vibration free running and low wear every rotator is turner down on a special lathe. The final balancing of the armature is done with a special computer controlled machine to guarantee quiet, vibration free running. To oppose any reduction on performance balancing the armature is done by adding small weights rather than drilling or milling the sheet metal cases. The quality of our carbon brushes is due to many years experience and the development of special mixtures giving very low resistance combined with excellent running characteristics. Most carbon brushes are sold with two wire contacts capable of taking more load and giving better security. The carbon brushes can easily be changed by our customers with the minimum amount of fuss. The casings are manufactured from materials that achieve a high magnetic flux density. The larger motors of the HP 355 series are equipped with a polygon shaped stator ring, thus saving a lot of weight. Motors are double and, on some models, even triple ball raced. To take up larger axial forces some custom made types are equipped with axial ball bearings. Due to our flexibility in production it is possible to adapt our motors to different applications and realise virtually any drive concept. Our brushed motors leave our factory having been 100% tested and run in. You can unpack the motor build it into your model and start to have fun straight away!
